Hello Filip,
the Season has finished and you already had some vacation and distance. What have you done in your Vacation?
I enjoyed above all the time with my family and my friends. I was also one week at the sea to bathe. Then at the end of my vacation I was already again busy with handball, because I was 4 days long in „the Filip Jicha Handballcamp “. There 200 children were with whom I trained and which has really fun made.
How does your result precipitate to your first season with the THW Kiel?
My first season, was nevertheless very successful, but I had to put also much in. My knee injury cost me half of the season and afterwards I had to fight over again to find my form backagain. I look forward enormous to my second season in Kiel.
How largely is the disappointment still that you did not have won the champion League title in your first year?
The disappointment?? Such a thing never forgets a sportsman - 11.5.2008 - this date always is in my memory. But this is now already again past and I hope that I get the possibility again in the champions League to play the final game.
Completely up-to-date in the handball world the Dismissal of your coach Noka Serdarusic is highly discussed. How did you experience of it?
I received from it through mine advisor Jochen Bergener.
What means the Dismissal of Noka for you personally?
Noka is a great coach. I could unfortunately train under him only a few months, but nevertheless I had seen which for a coach Noka am.
Alfred Gislasson will now be the coach in Kiel, what do you think about him?
I believe Alfreds was the correct decision for us and for the association. I naturally inquired with the players among Alfreds to have played and all speak only very, very positively about him. I look forward already to co-operation with Alfreds.
With the national team you unfortunately did not qualify for World Cup 2008. How large is the disappointment? And what it has according to your opinion lain that you did not qualify?
I do not believe that Serbia was better, they only had more luck and at the end it were simple the gate relationship the crucial for it who of us may drive to Croatia. That was already bitter for us. After 120. Minutes stood it for 62:62. We look further forward and the next qualification and tasks already line up in the new season.
Did you pursue the football EM? If, who has you surprised, from whom you were disappointed?
Sure, I pursued the football EM, and naturally regarded the thumbs for our national team, but then the bitter out came for us. Germany inspired me - with which offensive football it the final to have reached. Unfortunate they lost in the final, but nevertheless radix complement to the team.

Hello Filip,
at first we would like to wish you a happy new Year. We hope you have well recovered about the holidays and have spent a nice time in the circle of your family.
Thank you nicely, it were really some nice days for me. I could spend a lot of time with my family.
2007 was equipped for you with heights and depths. On the one hand, you have played, for yourself, a very successful world championship, then the quick change came to Kiel and, in the end, your heavy injury. Which result do you pull from the last year?
Yes, it was really a funny year for me. One Highlight was certainly the change to Kiel - that what I really wanted has become true. The world championship also counts to the depths of the last year absolutely, because as a team we have not created what we have expected from ourselves. The deepest blow was the bitter knee injury for me. But maybe this helps me in 2008 because I have thereby become stronger psychically. Time will show.
What do you expect now from Olympia Year 2008? What are your good intentions, wishes and hopes?
Now, the health stands on top for me because I know now how importantly this is. I would only simply like to stay healthy and then I have everything itself in the hand and can also help, finally, the team a little.
Your recovery seems to progress well!? How wide are you?
Now to my injured knee it goes well already very much, very much. I regret only that the EM does not begin two weeks later. Unfortunately, thus I cannot be present yet because after 4 months of break I firstly need to find myself again. If I had gone in there directly into the so heavy plays, it would not have been good that not only for my knee, but also for my psyche. Now I must work further hard on myself and then I soon am able to play handball at a high level again.
Will you be operational to the second half of the season again?
Yes, if everything runs as well as now, I can say that I am then so far that I may play handball again. Only it is important that my knee holds.
The championchip is very narrow in this season up to now - with Hamburg Flensburg and Kiel there are three teams who fight for the title at present. How do you see your chances to win the popular bowl another time?
I know that everything is very narrow. However, I will do everything for the fact that I can help this great team to fetch the title. To me it is clear that it becomes very difficult, but I am already glad about the start of the second half of the season.
And what do you await in the 2-nd group phase of the champion's league of Kiel? How do you estimate your opponents?
I believe that we have got one, how I should say it, a feasible task, but if you want to defend the title, you must simply win everything. Thus this is simply, so we must always give 100% and sometimes even more. Now everything becomes enormously difficult.
Filip, many thanks for the interview. We wish you for the remaining Reha time a lot of strength and hope we can see you in the second half of the season in the zebra outfit on the parquet again.

Filip, now you are a Zebra for several weeks. How do you feel now?
I really feel comfortable in Kiel. However, indeed, in the team many things still are new for me and I want to learn this fast. Time will show if it works, but I will do everything for it!
How do you like it in the city of Kiel?
So Kiel is awfully nice. 200.000 inhabitants already makes a hughe distinction between 30.000 in Lemgo. However, Lemgo was also nice, only differently than Kiel because Kiel lies by the sea which I really like. If we have nice weather and one goes for a walk and sees the people everywhere on the beach this is quite nice!
Your resignation from Lemgo became known only after the season has ended, were you sad about the fact that you couldn't say goodbye to your fans properly?
It was quite funny when I played my last game in Lemgo because I did not know 100% about whether that my last play is in blue/white or not. When I knew then later that I would play in Kiel already this season, I wanted to say goodbye in Lemgo also anyhow to the fans. I have experienced there 2 great years and have got to know many nice people, I will never forget these years!
The training camp of the THW Kiel should be the "hell", how have you felt it?
Yes the training camp was quite hard, but now the time is over and one can speak only good about that. One forgets the hard work and the alarm clock in the early morning as one had to go running if the first results come.
You have got over the preparation time successfully, among with the profit of the "Brümmerhof Cups", "Schlecker Cup" as well as "Unser Norden Cup". What has the preparation brought to you?
I have got to know many new people in this time and also my team-mates were new for me. One must get used to it first for example how they react in certain situations etc.
Do you get on well with the team - speak: do you already feel as a Zebra?
The whole team is very much nicely and that is very positive for me. The team holds together always and I like this! I feel fine!!
On last Tuesday you have won the frist title of this season - Super-Cup against the Rhine Neckar Löwen. What was this for a feeling?
It was a little bit new for me. The preparation time had an end and it has started off - then the victory - everything went so fast! But I have incredibly been glad that we have won this title. It is fantastically to win a title.
Who becomes the German Champion in 2007/2008?
Time will show who will be first after the 34-th matchday. Now I can only say that I do everything, so that we are this!
Kiel has got the Triple in the last season. Do you believe it is possible, to win that again?
It is awfully difficult to win so many titles and to defend them next year. Kiel does not have it now twice as hard but triple as hard. But in sports everything is possible and if I look at the team, I know:

Hey Filip, it's out! You will change to the THW Kiel in Season 2008/2009. What's the reason for your decission?
It was so hard for me because I got different supplys and I had to decide. I decided to go to Kiel because I think that I can celebrate sporty results there. That was important for my decision.
You've got supplys all over Europe also from Spain. It was/is your Dream to go to Spain, why didn't you decide for one of these, but for Kiel?
I'm just 24 years old and I think that I can develop myself in Kiel and still play in Spain later.
Have you felt comfortable here in Lemgo the last two years?
Ofcourse did I felt comfortable in Lemgo, if not, the decision to leave would have been much easier for me. But it was really exhausting and I'm really happy now that I made a decison finally and that everyone in Lemgo is still fair to me. Therefore I'm really thankful to everyone in Lemgo.
What has the time in Lemgo brought to you sportily and personally?
Sportily ofcourse that I got the chance to play in the ferderal league, which is in my opinion the strongest league in the world, and that I won my first Titel with the EHF Cup - that was an incredibale feeling, which I want to experience again. And personally I think that I found some really good friends here.
The rumors say, that you will be playing already next season if Kielif the TBV will find an alternative on your position shortly. Will you be influenced of the thoughts that they would like to "get rid of you" in the next season, if it does not come in addition?
I can't influence anything at the moment. It is in the Hands of the Teams. I just can go on playing Handball and concentrate to give my best like before.
What do you expect from your time with THW Kiel? What are you glad mostly about?
From my personally point of view I want to develop myself sportily. For the Team I want to do my very best to help them and get the feeling of a sportily result with them again. That is the best feeling you can have. Ofcourse I'm glad to play in the Ostseehalle and play in front of a sold out arena in every game. |

Now you are play since something more than one year for the TBV, how does your result look like?
I am very contented about the fact that I can play in the federal league and for the TBV. Since I am in Lemgo I have never regretted that I have made this decision and have gone to the TBV. Nevertheless, here I have won my first title.
Do you feel in good hands in the team, speak you get by with your companions, the trainer's stick and the management well?
I feel very well in the team, but of course I had at the beginning of worries as me to the TBV changed because I did not know the people me here would take up. Now, however, I can say that these worries completely were free of charge.
Have you attached special friendship with or by the TBV?
Handball is a team sport and with some rent players I have narrower contact with some less. With some team colleagues I have the same hobbies and meet those maybe more often than with the other. But, however, otherwise we have a good troop!
With whom do you divide in away journeys the room?
With Carsten Lichtlein, but for my relations he gets up always too early. Luckily he lets me go on sleeping, however, then.
How likes you Lemgo as a city?
Lemgo is a small, comfortable city and I like it here. If I sometimes what the bigger need I go to Bielefeld, the city is removed about 30 km from Lemgo.
Are you with pleasure in Germany?
You do not like what here and what? I always wanted to play in the federal league and I have to live no problems with it abroad. I feel in Europe at home.
Do you miss your native country and family in Czechia or do you see them frequent?
I am born in Czechia and I am a Czech. As already it is said to live no problem abroad or as well as now in Germany for me. I have learnt the language and now have many friends here the only German speak. If I my native country miss, nevertheless, then rises in the car and am in 5 stood with my parents.
What was your personally biggest sporty success up to now?
Anyway the profit of the cup EHF in 2006.
And what was your sporty disappointment biggest up to now?
I believe that every defeat is very bitter, but what finds I even more bitterly is if one cannot play on account of an injury at all.
In which hall (before which fans) you best play?
I like the halls in Germany very much. Of course I play with pleasure in the home Lipperlandhalle and I am glad always especially when we in Gerry Weber stadium can play. Of course it is also to be played always a little bit special in the north (Kiel and Flensburg) a great atmosphere rules there exactly like in Cologne.
What is your personal purpose for the topical season?
I believe we must concentrate upon ourselves and on all other and what do not say about us. We would like to win every play and must look what comes, besides, out. Anyway we will want to fight for the champion's league places.
Are you glad about the world championship in 2007 here in Germany?
I am glad gigantically that we our Play-off plays have created and that we can be present here in Germany. It becomes certainly the best world championship of all times and it becomes certainly an unforgettable experience.
To what extent, do you hope, will you come with the Czech national team?
For us the play becomes importantly against Egypt that we must win and then we can play without pressure simply wide. We want to show absolutely to all that the results of the letzen year were no chance.
Do you maintain a ritual before the plays, if so which and why?
Of course I have rituals, but what this is and why I this do, nevertheless, I cannot say.
Do you have a dream you to you sometime would like to fulfil?
I have so sporty dreams of course, the question is only as realistically they are. For me a dream would already come true if I could take part with Olympia in Peking in 2008. However, champion's league winner would also be a great thing I will be conceivable and be glad gigantically about every title which I can still win.
What do you do in your spare time?
If I just do not play handball and or what occupies me with something with it deals, then I am the dearest on the golf course or surf on the Internet. I find the gulf really a great sport is. |
